RED Mountain is the last great, unspoiled resort. Located in Rossland, BC, along the famous “Powder Highway,” RED delivers 4,200 acres of pristine skiing unfettered by overdevelopment. If downhill skiing or snowboarding on a mountain with epic terrain and uncrowded slopes is your dream, then RED Mountain Resort is your ideal destination. RED offers varied terrain catering to skiers and riders of all ability levels. From gradual slopes on the magic carpet and new beginner runs to challenging intermediate runs on Paradise and extreme skiing on the north side of Granite Mountain, RED truly has something for everyone.
RED Mountain Resort is proud to announce it’s 2014-2015 season snowcat access to the new runs on Mt. Kirkup. We have a Pisten Bully 200 snowcat with a spacious cabin that will swiftly shuttle skiers up to these new runs. This is the perfect opportunity for our intermediate skiers to experience cat skiing.
In 2013-14, RED added nearly 1,000 acres of mostly-intermediate terrain on Grey Mountain – an entirely new peak. (Well, OK, Grey’s been there for millions of years, but without runs or lifts on it.)
With 300″/7.6m of annual snowfall, wide-open groomed runs, epic vertical (2,919ft/890m!), in-bounds cat-skiing, 360 degree descents off select peaks, a rich tradition, and the best tree runs in BC, come and enjoy fresh turns that you don’t have to fight for and find out what none of the fuss is about….
