Summit County's little secret, Copper Mountain, is not so little! With over 2,400 acres of terrain that combines long and challenging intermediate terrain with some of Colorado's most exciting advanced terrain to form a snow rider paradise for the more experienced skiers and boarders in the group. And beginners will not feel left out, in fact, Copper dedicates a whole base area to those just learning the ropes.
Copper Mountain's Union Creek base area for beginners sits all the way to West of the resort. Union Creek is home to a state-of-the-art children's ski and ride school. The Village at Copper (Center Village) base area provides access to some very long and open intermediate terrain off of the American Flyer Lift while the American Eagle Lift brings you to mid-mountain where you can proceed up the hill or head down to the Center Village or East Village base areas via some challenging intermediate to advanced trails.
At the base of the East Village is a six person high speed lift, the Super Bee, that zips up the hill and stops very near to the top of the resort. From this point skiers and snowboarders have access to just about all the terrain that Copper offers. Intermediate skiers and boarders that venture off to the Timberline Lift will find some beautiful terrain with rolling hills and long-lasting powder. Advanced and expert riders will find amazing bowls on Copper's upper mountain and backside that can be accessed from the top of the American Flyer lift by taking either the Sierra Lift or the Rendevous Lift or the real adventurous can take a ride up the Poma to Copper Mountain's peak and attempt Rendevous Bowl, Copper Bowl, or Union Bowl--Double Black terrain that will challenge the best of the best.
Copper might not be the most exclusive resort, but the Beeline Lift Ticket is a perk that is unrivaled at any other mountain. Offered to guests staying at the resort, the Beeline is an express lift lane that literally eliminates the need to wait in lift lines on the high volume chairlifts. You have your own lift lane that allows you to advance directly to the front of even the longest lift line. No more waiting to get on the lifts during those busy peak times; you will not even wait in any lines at Christmas!!! And that's not all, you also can ride the lifts 15 minutes before they open to the general public--Get first tracks on the frequent Copper Mountain powder days. |
