The drive from Denver is mostly on Interstate 70 through the mountains; the Interstate is well maintained throughout the winter months. Shared shuttle and private transportation services are available with professional drivers that will take you right to your accommodations. Visitors can choose to rent a car for convenience, but most of the lodging locations are on the town’s free shuttle route.
Breckenridge and Summit County offer one of the most comprehensive and convenient free transportation systems anywhere. The Breckenridge Free Ride Circulator system runs continuously throughout the town providing access to the majority of the resort’s lodging properties. The Summit Stage provides access to properties located on the outskirt of town, interconnects with the Free Ride, and provides free transportation to other area resorts like Copper Mountain and Keystone as well as the shopping districts in Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne.
